I am a fiddler and music teacher based in Glasgow, Scotland. Born and raised in Canberra, Australia, I have over 25 years experience in playing violin and 15 years experience teaching violin. I moved to Glasgow five years ago to immerse myself in Scottish folk music.

My music focusses on Scottish and Nordic folk music, but I have experience with other folk music and classical styles.

I have a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Musicology from the Australian National University.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught one-on-one lessons and group classes, privately, in schools, community organisations and festivals. I teach adults and children from beginner level to advanced.

For many years, I led the Canberra Scottish Fiddlers, a community-based organisation which promots the learning and performance of Scottish fiddle music.

I currently organise a weekly music session at For Fika Sake, a cafe in Glasgow's West End, which supports the learning and playing of Nordic folk music.

Performance Experience:

I perform in groups and solo regularly in the UK and Australia. I currently perform with Fika Collective, a Glasgow-based fiddle band playing Nordic and contemporary Celtic folk music.

A career highlight was performing a Hardanger solo in Grieg's music for Peer Gynt in 2012 with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy, at the Sydney Opera House.
